Black-glazed wares from Sinan Shipwreck
The National Museum of Korea is putting on display 180 black-glazed porcelain works out of the 800 or so pieces it has collected from the underwater remains discovered in or near the sunken trade ship found off the waters of Sinan.

Researchers found that the black-glazed works of porcelain were made in the Chinese provinces of Jiangxi toward the south, in Hebei in the north, and, more importantly, in Fujian, which had special kilns. The theme of the exhibition includes the relationship between the black-glazed works, tea-drinking traditions and the changes over time in the use of tea bowls.
