Seoul Lantern Festival 2012
Moonlit strolls in the city become more interesting this time of year. Some 30,000 lanterns will be lit along 1.5 kilometers, starting from the Cheonggye Plaza to Seun Bridge. This year's theme of the Seoul Lantern Festival 2012 is 'A Glimpse into Seoul's Roots and the Daily Live of Korean Ancestors'. Lanterns will be lit from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm each evening, hours may change to shifting weather conditions. Please refer to the official website for more information on the history of the Cheonggye Stream, landmarks, sight-seeing and other available activities during the period.
