20^th ANNUAL JURIED ART EXHIBITION

The eleven artists included in the 20^th Annual Juried Exhibition were selected from a national pool of over 100 applicants who responded to the open invitation from the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles. Artists were evaluated based upon on slides and electronic files they submitted. The Jury was composed of Douglas Fogle, Deputy Director, Exhibitions and Public Programs &Chief Curator of Hammer Museum, Alma Ruiz, Senior Curator of MOCA (Museum of Contemporary of Art; Los Angeles and Max Presneill , Museum Curator of Torrance Museum of Art.  

Since its debut in 1993, the Juried Art Exhibition has progressively become one of the most popular exhibitions at the KCCLA. The event has greatly benefited from the excitement and generosity of the artists who have submitted their work and the curiosity and openness of the Center’s constituency. The participating artists are selected from different parts of the United States . Their work expresses their personal engagements in the creative process and reflects their different stages of life and careers.
