Have you ever tried jogakbo? It is a style of traditional Korean patchwork quilting. I recently had a go when I attended a late night event being held at the the Victoria & Albert Museum last year. You can read the full article here.

Here is my slightly exaggerated experience of kniting and quilting. Actually it is quite easy, but I am not that good at sewing usually.
