An exhibition of the prize-winning works of the international Korean-related content competition "Talk Talk Korea 2019" will run from Oct. 17-31 at the Asia Culture Center in Gwangju.

The exhibition will be jointly hosted by the Korean Culture and Information Service (KOCIS), a subsidiary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and display 177 award-winning works from the competition including videos, photos, drawings and cartoons by foreigners.

With this year's edition using the theme "Korea Lovers," the contest had a record 32,519 entries submitted from 167 countries.

Among the displayed works include a video made by Franco Rizzo of Malta that sarcastically begins by telling viewers not to come to Korea and then expresses a deep love for the country; the illustration "One Family" by Marjolaine Dinh from France, who portrays the reunion of two relatives separated during the Korean War with the word "peace"; and the video "Why a German Studies Korean" by Lindsay Lotta Williams from Germany, who speaks in the video in fluent Korean.

KOCIS Director Kim Tae-hoon said, "The exhibition will be held during the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations)-ROK (Republic of Korea) ministerial meeting, Asian Culture Week and the Gwangju Design Biennale, so we expect the exhibition to attract a lot of attention from people from Asian countries and worldwide," adding, "We hope that the exhibition further stimulates communication and exchanges between people who love Korea worldwide."

The exhibition will also be held in Indonesia, the U.S. and the Philippines.

The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in Jakarta will hold the event from Oct. 31 to Nov. 8 at the Anggrek campus of Binus University in conjunction with the opening ceremony of the school's Korean corner. The KCC in Washington will hold the exhibition from Nov. 8-20 at its media gallery, and the KCC in Taguig on Dec. 7 will kick off the exhibit on an outdoor stage at Bonifacio High Street along with the event "2019 Day with Korea Culture, Guerilla K-Night."
