Korea to assist flood-stricken Colombia
Jul 12, 2011
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has offered Colombia 200,000 US dollars in aid to help with flood relief.
Colombia will use the money to purchase generators and water pumps for the affected areas, which have experienced severe flooding due to heavy rains.
Last November, Korea gave 200,000 dollars in aid to help with relief efforts for previous floods.
The heavy rains caused damage to 70 percent of the country, killing 500 people and affecting another 4 million.
