10 Million Foreign Tourists Series
A walking event with Korean stars took place at Seoul Olympic Park last weekend.
In commemoration of Korea welcoming ten million foreign tourists possibly as early as November 21, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) held ”A Walk With the Stars,” inviting more than 1,500 foreign residents and tourists to meet K-pop stars and actors such as Jang Hyuk, Kim Soo-hyun, Infinite, ZE:A, Sistar, Nine Muses, and Hwang Min-woo (known as Junior PSY).
Following the opening ceremony, Hallyu fans had the chance to spend time with Korean stars and get their pictures taken, walk around the Olympic Park, and also attend a mini K-pop concert.
During the walk, a photo-zone and an event section were set up to give participants a chance to meet with the stars. All participants were given a T-shirt with photos of Korean stars as a gift.
“This ‘A Walk With the Stars’ event was designed to welcome foreign tourists visiting Korea,” said the KTO. “We will come up with more creative ideas, setting Korean stars at the head, to further promote tourism in Korea.”
