Team Korea's launch ceremony for the Incheon Asian Para Games 2014 took place on October 7 at the Korean Sports Training Center d'ground, the country's center for para sports, in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do (Gyeonggi Province).

Second Vice Minister of Culture, Sports & Tourism Kim Chong encouraged the athletes by saying, “I would like to extend my warm gratitude to the athletes who silently shed their drops of sweat. The fruit of your patience and efforts will make the future of Korean sports much brighter.”

On the theme of "Impossible Drives Us,” the Incheon Asian Para Games 2014 will run for seven days from October 18 to 24. As many as 6,000 athletes from 42 countries will display their capabilities across 23 disciplines.
