The eyes of both Kim Yu-na, a PR ambassador for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, and Kim Jong-deok, minister of culture, sports and tourism, follow the rock as it slides down the sheet.

The two were playing wheelchair curling, one of the official sports in the PyeongChang Paralympics 2018, as part of a promotional event for the PyeongChang Paralympics, in Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul on March 14.

The PyeongChang Paralympics will take place in 2018 across ten days, from March 9 to 25, after the PyeongChang Winter Olympics slated for February 9 to 25, 2018.

“I was also an athlete, so I sympathize with the passion of the paralympic athletes. I hope that all athletes can achieve their desired goals in the upcoming Paralympic Games,” said Kim Yu-na. She will introduce paralympic sports at each annual PyeongChang Paralympics Day promotional event to be held each year ahead of the winter Olympics.

Minister Kim said, “For the success of the PyeongChang Paralympics, the government will do its utmost to set up all the necessary sport facilities and services customized for the athletes so that their capabilities can be fully displayed. I hope that many citizens can take an interest in and support the upcoming event, thanks to PyeongChang Paralympics Day.”
