Short track speedskater Choi Min-jeong has won four gold medals in the world championships.

Choi on April 10 secured three individual golds at the 2022 International Skating Union (ISU) World Short Track Speed Skating Championships at Maurice Richard Arena in Montreal, Canada. She added a fourth in the 3,000-m relay.

The day before, she won the 1,500 m and the next day, she swept the 1,000- and 3,000-m Superfinal events for her third individual gold.

Choi also earned 107 ranking points to beat Kim Boutin (84) of Canada for the overall title.

This marked Choi's fourth overall world title following those in 2015, 2016 and 2018.

She also led her team comprising herself and Shim Seok-hee (Seoul City Hall), Kim A-lang and Seo Whi-min (both from Goyang City Hall) to a come-from-behind victory in the women's 3,000-m relay.
