Korea, China and Japan have agreed to cooperate on tackling common environment problems.

Korea's Minister of the Environment Kim Eunkyung, Chinese Minister of Environmental Protection Li Ganjie and Japanese Environment Minister Masaharu Nakagawa signed a joint statement to protect the environment across Northeast Asia at the 19th Tripartite Environment Ministers’ Meeting in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do Province, on Aug. 25.

The ministers shared their policies and technologies to control air pollution, climate change and biodiversity loss, and issued a joint statement to promise tighter cooperation during the two-day meeting on Aug. 24 and 25.
