President Moon Jae-in has expressed his deep condolences to those who lost their lives in a recent shooting at a small church in Sutherland Springs in Texas.

In a letter of condolences that the president sent on Nov. 6 to his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump, he said that, “We are all shocked by the shooting rampage on Nov. 5 that claimed so many lives. It’s heart-wrenching that innocent children and young people lost their lives in this shooting. On behalf of the Korean government and the Korean people, I offer my deepest condolences to the victims.”

“I pray for the repose of the deceased and send words of condolences from the Korean people to those bereaved families and to the U.S. people as a whole. Under the leadership of President Trump, hopefully U.S. citizens will unite and get over the shock and grief together as quickly as possible.”
