The Korean government announced on Nov. 10 that it plans to provide USD 1 million in humanitarian aid to typhoon-stricken Vietnam.

Vietnam was hit by Typhoon Damrey on Nov. 4, a storm that left at least 82 dead and 26 missing. Some 120,500 homes were destroyed.

Through a statement, the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered its condolences to the people of Vietnam, and said that it "hopes the country will make a speedy recovery from the devastation caused by the typhoon. We will continue to provide humanitarian aid to support citizens in countries suffering from the impact of natural disasters."
