A South Korean team visited the Gaeseong Industrial Complex just over the border in North Korea for the second consecutive day on June 20 to prepare opening a joint liaison office there, as was outlined in the Panmunjeom Declaration.
According to the Ministry of Unification, the team conducted advance preparations to renovate the General Support Center at the Gaeseong Industrial Complex on June 19 and continued the process on June 20.
The ministry said that a team of 17 officials and experts organized the area there into building lots and inspected the electricity and plumbing in each one, with the help of North Korean officers.
Previously during high-level talks, the two Koreas agreed to open a joint liaison office at the Gaeseong Industrial Complex.
