With the 2018 Inter-Korean Summit Pyeongyang now just around the corner, resources for foreign correspondents covering the event will be made available both on- and offline.

Starting Sept. 14, Korea.net will become the official foreign language website for the Pyeongyang summit. Up-to-date information about the summit, videos, archival materials and other translated references will be provided in English and eight other languages.

The website (ww.korea.net) will provide two different media press kits in English. The first, titled "Peace, A New Future - Progress Made After Panmunjeom Summits," includes official commentary on the Panmunjeom Declaration as well as assessments made by major foreign news outlets. The second, titled "Peace, A New Future," is a translation of the press kit provided to local Korean media.

At the main press center in Seoul, two panel discussions will bookend the three-day summit, on Sept. 17 and 20. The panel will include experts on the Korean Peninsula and will be moderated in English with simultaneous interpretation. Arirang TV will broadcast the event, live.

The panel includes Harry J. Kazianis, director of defense studies at the Center for the National Interest, Handong University Professor Kim Joon Hyung, Korea National Diplomatic Academy Professor Kim Hyun-wook, and the head of the Sejong Institute's Department of Security Strategy Studies, Woo Jung-Yeop. Ruediger Frank, a professor at the University of Vienna, will participate via video conference call.

At the main press center, visitors will also be able to take a look at a video installation art piece representing peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The 30 works of art featured as part of the piece, including videos, illustrations, cartoon strips and photos, were selected from the annual Talk Talk Korea 2018 contest. The works of art were chosen from some 2,080 works sent in from around the world, praying for peace on the peninsula.
