President Moon Jae-in on April 2 told Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen over the phone that Korea is willing to actively share with the international community its quarantine and treatment experience in the COVID-19 outbreak as well as relevant clinical data.

The president stressed the need for international cooperation to end the COVID-19 outbreak at the earliest date possible. He suggested that the two countries closely work together to minimize the COVID-19 outbreak's negative impact on the global economy and to ensure that international trade continues to proceed smoothly.

Prime Minister Frederiksen called the supply of medical equipment a very important issue in Denmark, adding that she has high hopes for cooperating with Korea to tackle the crisis. She also expressed deep interest in her nation purchasing Korea's test kits and medical devices.

President Moon said he is aware that Denmark is engaged in consultations with Korean companies to import diagnostic kits.

"We will actively consider providing assistance as circumstances permit should Danish authorities inform us about its detailed requests for our diagnostic kit and quarantine and medical supply exports," he added.
