The 2021 P4G (Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030) Seoul Summit on May 31 ends with the adoption of the Seoul Declaration.

President Moon Jae-in on the second day of the summit will speak at a discussion with heads of state and other figures and adopt the declaration in the afternoon.

The summit will hold a session at 10 p.m. Korean Standard Time under the theme "Inclusive Green Recovery towards Carbon Neutrality." Those to attend include 14 heads of state and leading global figures such as President Moon, U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen, Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha and International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva. They will share their opinions on green recovery, carbon neutrality and private-public cooperation.

Afterwards, the summit concludes with the declaration's adoption to convey global willingness to respond to the climate crisis and act toward carbon neutrality, something each nation confirmed the day before.

The declaration covers comprehensive content including the need for international society's cooperation, solidarity and support to overcome the pandemic and climate crisis; implementation of the Paris Agreement to reduce CO2 emissions; transition and practice efforts in the economic and social sectors for achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals; expansion of civic society's roles and eco-friendly management by business to solve climate issues; and need for international cooperation to tackle marine pollution.
