This video was produced in response to a Japanese PR video on the East Sea which appeared on the website of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in July 2006. In the context of the naming controversy on this sea between Korea and Japan, the video lays out the reasons for using the name "East Sea," citing the opinion of the IHO (International Hydrographic Organization) and with interviews with experts from all over the world.
It is comprised of three parts, titled "The East Sea, Not the Sea of Japan," "East Sea, A Name Lost From World Maps" and "The World Map is Changing!"
