KOCIS Ensures Protection of Privacy Rights

All personal information obtained by the Korean Culture and Information Service (KOCIS) is stored and processed pursuant to pertinent laws or with the consent of the subject of the information.

The KOCIS is in full compliance at all times with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information Maintained by Public Agencies. The agency handles personal information legitimately and fairly for the sole purpose of conducting public affairs and for the protection of people's rights and interests.

In addition, the KOCIS respects your rights and interests, claims for access to personal information in its custody as well as for correction. You may request an administrative judgment pursuant to the Administrative Appeals Act if you believe a statutory infringement has been made on your rights and interests.
