Korea's glimmering capital invites tourists from near and far to its annual lantern festival held along the beautiful Cheonggyecheon Stream in downtown Seoul.
This year, the theme of the festival is “A glimpse into PyeongChang 2018 through the lanterns in Seoul.” There will be lanterns depicting Winter Games sports like alpine skiing, figure skating and luge.
There will also be lanterns made in the shape of cartoon characters, in the shape of famous city skylines and lantern-artworks that float on the water.
During the festival, the lanterns will be lit from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
