Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center in Turkey held the ‘Korea-Turkey Friendship Concert’, a solo recital by Korean pianist  Hyun Sook Tekin who is currently professor at Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey, and the performance was broadcast live through the YouTube channel of the Korean Cultural Center in Turkey.


In the performance, piano solo pieces such as Franz Schubert's 3 Klavierstücke D946, Franz Liszt's La Campanella, and Liebestraum No. 3 were played first, followed by a piano concert with Ney, a traditional Turkish instrument. OSTs from the Korean drama and movie, Buselik Saz Semaisi, and works such as Canon Variations were performed, and Turkish actor and broadcaster Ali Pinar served as the host.


Performer and pianist Hyun Sook Tekin said, "I am delighted to be able to present a meaningful performance online while everyone is having a difficult time due to corona virus, and I hope that various cultural events for cultural exchange between the two countries will continue in the future."


Various people such as local music lovers, Hallyu fans, and Koreans participated in the online performance and sent many messages of support through chatting during the performance.
