The Embassy of the Republic of Korea led by H.E. Mr. Moon Seoung-Hyun, Ambassador hosted the Opening Ceremony of the Multi-purpose Hall on 28th April at 14:00 at the 21st Infantry Regiment in Chonburi.
More than 50 Thai and Korean guests participated at this event, including H.E. Mr. Moon Seoung-hyun, Gen. Bundit Malaiarisoon, President of Thai-Korean War Veterans Association, Lt. Gen. Chitiphat Boonchuai, Deputy Director of War Veterans Organization of Thailand and Wanchai Phanomchai Director General of Department of Industrial Works.
The Multi-purpose Hall with 185 sq.m. size is built and donated by POSCO, a steel-making company from Korea. The Hall has been completed in last February.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea reminds 6,326 Thai Korean War veterans' sacrifice who had attended the Korean War. So that, the Embassy organizes the Opening Ceremony of the Multi-purpose Hall with the performance to celebrate this event. 12 Thai and Korean members of 'Cheong-heung-dung-dang', the Korean traditional music club in the Korean Cultural Center, played 'Holo Arirang', the popular Korean folk song.
H.E. Mr. Moon Seoung-hyun said, "This newly-built multi-purpose hall is a part of expressing our gratitude to Thai veterans' sacrifice and devotion. The Korean government and Korean people will always remember Thailand's help during the war."
