Events at KCCs abroad

Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) and Daegu-Gyeongbuk Jakarta Office get together to produce a travel mukbang video series program titled "K-Street Food Treasure" last April 2022.

This video series consisting of three episodes is broadcast once a week starting 11 April through the Youtube and Instagram pages of KCCI and Daegu-Gyeongbuk Jakarta Office, and has been watched by more than 19,000 viewers cumulatively.

All the trips were guided by a student from Indonesia. In the first episode he took viewers to the Daegu Metropolitan City and introduced viewers to Seomun Market, one of the largest markets in Korea during the Joseon dynasty.

Furthermore, in the second episode, viewers were introduced to some of the trendy street foods in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do that are being popular among local residents recently. These foods can be found in the Hwangridan-gil area which is not far from the historic tomb complex, Daereungwon.

Still in Gyeongsangbuk-do province, as a closing KCCI and Daegu-Gyeongbuk Jakarta Office invites viewers to Pohang city to try typical street foods at the Jukdo market. After that, viewers are invited to visit Yeongildae Beach to see the first building on the water built in Korea, the Yeongildae Pavilion. Not far from the beach, viewers are then invited to visit the Pohang Spacewalk, an attraction in the form of a modern staircase that just opened in 2021. The impression of a tourist spot that is very contrasting but still well harmonized is shown in this episode.

In the future, KCCI plans to cooperate more with relevant institution/organization to enhance Korea's promotion of tourism and other entertainment attractions. Of course, in a form, concept and theme that is even more interesting.
