Events at KCCs abroad

On August 18, 2022, Korean Cultural Center in Thailand organized 1st Food Class for Restaurant Entrepreneurs as the last class.

Students made Kimbap menu and the Instructor Jung Inkyung explained that Kimbap is a Korean dish that comes in five colors; red, green, yellow, white, and black, just like the traditional menu 'Gujeolpan' (a platter of nine delicacies).

Usually, kimbap is a food that spoils easily because it contains rice as an ingredient. Therefore, to make good Kimbap, it have to wait for the rice to cool down to prevent spoilage. Making Kimbap stuffing is also important as it must be about 25-30 grams size.

Except the general method of making Kimbap, the teacher also taught how to make stir-fried Kimchi Kimbap and spicy pork Kimbap.

The Korean Cultural Center hopes that these dishes will be included in the menus of students' restaurants in the future.
