Korean Cooking Class
(August – September)
Many Australians may have attended a Korean BBQ with a friend or for a work meeting and enjoyed what they tasted of Korean food. But do you know what dishes they were? How to cook them? Look no further, our Korean cooking classes held in the Korea Cultural Office’s state of the art kitchen will solve this problem.Learn how to cook your favourite dishes. Due to the popularity of cooking classes held last term, we are introducing new cooking classes focusing on what Koreans really eat at home and at parties that is popular and easy to make.
Heather Jeong, a popular cooking teacher and caterer has taught Korean food for a number of years. Currently she works with Maeve O’Meara from SBS Food Safari in her Gourmet Safari in Sydney. Her recipes are also available in SBS Kitchen Conversations hosted by Jenna Yoon. Student will learn hands on, authentic Korean food and modern Korean food that has captivated the culinary world. Each class will conclude with lunch/dinner of the dishes made. There would also be many sampling of regional, seasonal and homemade banchans (side dishes) that makes Korean food so unique.
