President Yoon on July 1 returned to Korea from Madrid, Spain, after spending five days there in his multilateral diplomatic debut to attend the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit from June 29-30.

His 16-event itinerary included 10 bilateral summits and two small-scale multilateral talks. He gave a three-minute speech in an official session of the summit of NATO member and partner countries, as well as a trilateral summit with the U.S. and Japan and a meeting of four Asia-Pacific partner countries.

The president urged global support for and interest in North Korea's denuclearization and emphasized cooperation among Seoul, Washington and Tokyo. This article is a look back on this trip through photos.
