K-pop megastar group BTS on Nov. 14 won four trophies at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards in Budapest, Hungary.

The boy band swept all four of its nominated categories -- Best Pop, Best K-pop, Best Group and Biggest Fans -- in winning the most awards of any nominee at the ceremony.

The awards are Europe's biggest of their kind. The group thus earned honors there for the fourth consecutive year since 2018.

Held online due to COVID-19 last year, the event this year was held offline. BTS did not attend the ceremony, however, since its members are in Korea.

Last month, BTS also won the MTV Video Music Awards Japan for Best Group Video/International and Best Collaboration Video/International.
