Jungkook, a member of K-pop sensation BTS, and K-pop boy band Stray Kids are among the winners of this year's People's Choice Awards of the U.S.
The awards' organizing committee on its website on Feb. 18 named Jungkook Male Artist of the Year, as he beat out global pop stars Morgan Wallen, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd and Drake.
This is Jungkook's second People's Choice Award as a soloist. His first came in 2022 for Collaboration Song of the Year for his song "Left and Right" with Charlie Puth.
Releasing the tracks "Seven" and "Standing Next to You" last year, Jungkook set a K-pop mark for most nominations by a solo artist with four: -- Male Artist of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year and Collaboration Song of the Year.
Stray Kids won Group/Duo of the Year after the group's two albums released last year -- "5-Star" and "Rock Star" -- topped the Billboard 200 main albums chart back to back.
Founded in 1975, the People's Choice Awards honor pop culture in movies, TV and music. Winners are selected through online voting.
