The volume of plastic waste worldwide is expected to grow from 150 million tons in 2016 to 250 million tons by 2025. The more plastic is produced, the more climate change worsens because of the need for fossil fuels. The P4G Seoul Summit aims to fight climate change so how can people do their part?
Start by recycling plastic products to limit their environment impact. In my case, I transformed a plastic bottle into something useful such as a flower vase, container or ornament.
Directions:
1. Remove the plastic label from the bottle.
2. Wash and dry the bottle.
3. Paint it with white paint.
4. Dry with a hair dryer or air dry.
5. Cut the napkin to match the bottle's height.
6. Apply the glue to the bottle.
7. Carefully wrap the napkin's first layer around the bottle.
8. Dab the glued napkin with a damp cloth or wet tissue.
9. Stand upright and let it dry.
Use paper napkins or rice paper available at craft stores and choose from a variety of beautiful designs.
Recycling plastic bottles is a matter of the planet's survival.
Other uses for discarded plastic bottles include a flower pot, piggy bank, pencil organizer and sponge holder.
The slogan of the P4G Seoul Summit is "Green We Go, Change We Make."
