Korea's first homegrown space rocket Nuri on Oct. 21 is launched from the Naro Space Center in Bongnae-myeon Township of Goheung-gun County, Jeollanam-do Province. A three-stage projectile designed to send a 1.5-ton satellite into a low orbit of 600-800 km above Earth, Nuri is Korea's first space rocket made exclusively with domestic technology and know-how ranging from design and production to testing and launch management.
Nuri (KSLV-II) on Oct. 21 flies into the skies above Bongnae-myeon Township in Goheung-gun County, Jeollanam-do Province.
