An event featuring the traditional game jisinbapgi on Jan. 25 is held to wish good luck in the Year of Gyemyo (Black Rabbit) in front of Daegu Metropolitan Council in Daegu's Jung-gu District. The game is traditionally played at the start of a new year and on the 15th day of the first month in the lunar calendar, an occasion also known as Jeongwol Daeboreum, when the first full moon of the Lunar New Year occurs, to ward off evil spirits and demons and pray for the well-being of a village and one's family.
