Hi! My name is Katrina and I’m from the Philippines. I believe that Korea is every fangirl’s first love just like me. I spent my childhood years watching Korean dramas that aired on our TVs dubbed in our countries language since 2009. My life revolved around Korea that I kept on linking or relating every action that I do. I love styling myself in a trendy Korean way. I love listening to Kpop. I love Kfood (esp. the mouth watering Kimchi Jjigae), and ofcourse Kdrama. But what made me fall in love harder was my first ever trip to Korea this year (Last June). In our 8 day stay in Korea, I realized that the place, Korea, will always be there. I can always go back to some places that I missed or get a glimpse of Korea through pictures or videos. Also, I can eat Korean food nowadays (in our country). But what made our Korea Trip more special was the experience we had because of their people and their culture. So if ever I get the chance again to go to Korea, my dream country, I will definite
This is an illustration set of what I want to experience in Korea. I’ve always wanted to visit Korea once & experiencing both modern and traditional side of Korea. 1st, I want to visit Myeong-dong since it’s known as one of the primary shopping district at Seoul. I'd like to strolling around, tasting the Korean street food, & buying some skincare (since there’re a lot of stores 🤣) 2nd, Lotte World looks so fun and I wish I can visit it once! 3rd, Hanok Village. I love the view of Korean traditional house and it’s calm atmosphere. I’d like to try on Hanbok too! 4th, I’ve always wanted to experience eating Samgyeopsal, but of course with Korean friends. I’ve always watched it on drama, & I want to experience it once. 5th, Teseum. I was a big fan of Princess Hourse drama back then, & I love it’s teddy bear! There’re still a lot things I wanted to experience, but that’s all for now!

My video tries to show how I see South Korea and how this country has managed to reach several parts of the world and this is where I mention the small part that there is in Korea in my country. Well, to begin with, I met Korea "accidentally" watching a drama on television, so first I placed a video in which I walked normally and out of nowhere a television appeared. In the television segment where several images of Korea appear that show the "things" that I like about Korea. People appear, places, both rural and urban, also Korean images a little old because I wanted to show in them that in addition to the way you are in Korea, I also like what it was like at that time, the history of this country, even placed photos that try to capture the moments that some Koreans had. After the photo segment, place a mini video of me with my brothers "going to Korea" that is in my country, hence the title "Korea in the world", since in these moments of Korea are practically the same. At the end of
I am sharing my experience in Korea when I went there on the last week of December, 2018. I went my with family and had so much fun exploring and discovering Korean Culture. Its an experience that I would definitely want to experience again. The only reason I wanted to go to Korea beforehand was because of my obsession with KPOP and Kdrama. For KPOP, its particularly BTS and Stray Kids. I only wanted to go to places that relate to them, places that they’ve been to, and places where I can feel like I am with them. What started out as just a fangirl dream became a part of my human growth where I learn so much more about culture and identity. I was able to see Korea, the activities they had to offer, the places that are very convenient to go to but are still uniquely and beautifully Korea. I was able to experience a part of their life, a part of things that they do, a part of their culture. I was pretty surprised with the things that I have discovered, I am very thankful that Korean go
A cyberpunk inspired digital art of the streets of Seoul. • - T H E L I G H T S A R E A W A K E - A cyberpunk version of a street in Seoul. I love busy streets, the hint of intensity in a large crowd that moves together in every direction is thrilling however there’s something soothing about the night sky and the walks that follow it. The lights seem more capturing in the dark and the stores shine their personality out, grabbing more attention then. Everything looks aesthetic and all the tiny stores stuck together in the narrow alleyway inviting me to them. One of the things that I would like to explore is the streets of Seoul, with only the internet and pictures to rely my imaginations on, it has made me even more curious and interested to want to visually see it in person. The hustle, the lights, the street vendors, the immerse crowd and everything the city breathes. As an artist capturing movement and understanding the surrounding is going to be a huge element of my journey as I w
When I travel, I always wanna visit interesting cultural places and attractions. Buuut tbh, first of all, I think about how I’ll walk around the city and enjoy its nature, buildings, surrounding ppl, its atmosphere. If I were in Seoul first thing, I would go on a picnic to the Han river park, this kind of events always give me rest and power. Then, if I could go to Busan, I would certainly want to wander around Gamcheon culture village, I rlly like such bright unusual places, and ofc the little prince who sits there makes me in love with this place in advance!
What would you do if you could go to the place you wish the most? I´ve never been in Korea before, but with good luck and imagination everything is possible. This is the story of my magical travel to Korea, where I "visit" the places that I want to see in person and experience the korean culture.
Hallo!
