
The National Museum of Korea's exhibition "The Great Admiral Yi Sun-Sin" commemorates the 480th birthday of the display's eponymous naval legend and the 80th anniversary of national liberation. A combined 258 artifacts comprising 669 pieces are shown including six National Treasures (15 pieces), 39 Treasures (43) and six nationally registered cultural properties (nine). Highlights include 20 relics spanning 34 pieces from Yi's family collection such as a handwritten copy of his daily war diary Nanjung Ilgi and his long sword.
