The Kukje Gallery is hosting a solo show featuring new works by British artist Julian Opie. This is the artist’s second exhibition in Korea and it will include works in multiple media, including vinyl paintings and LED panels as well as new large-scale sculptures. Widely known internationally, Opie’s work links the postmodern interdisciplinary genres of sculpture and painting.
The artist’s best known works include simple line-drawn portraits and landscapes that showcase a highly refined and personal style and which resemble a kind of contemporary pictogram.
