Wrap around the World is a project Nam June Paik completed for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He tried to symbolize the end of the Cold War era by connecting all the regions and cultures around the world using the satellite system. Many countries including China and Russia across the East and West participated in this project, and the boundaries between genre and cultural hierarchies were dissolved. Most importantly, the project presented one, unified Earth beyond the limitations of physical distance by consolidating the physical realm of regional cultures using the satellite system. Nam June Paik Art Center’s Wrap around the Time builds on Wrap around the World, as a special exhibition planned for the 10th anniversary since Paik’s passing.

Location	Nam June Paik Art Center The Nam June Paik Art Center is located near Suwon Interchange on Gyeongbu Expressway. Not far from the Korean Folk Village, it is right next to GyeongGi Provincial Museum and across from Shingal High School.
Transportation	By Subway Giheung Station(Bundang line, exit no.5) 15-minute walk along a stream to NJP Art Center. Sanggal Station(Bundang line, exit no.4) 10-minute walk to NJP Art Center. By Bus When you get off at… - Shingal Police Station (Shin-gal-pa-chul-so) Take an alley right next to the police station, then cross the small bridge. You will see Nam June Paik Art Centerat the three-way intersection. GyeongGi Provincial Museum Walk in the direction of GyeonGi Provincial Museum for 10 minutes and you will see Nam June Paik Art Center on your right at the three-way intersection, right after passing by the Museum.
