The venue of this year's annual Haeundae Lighting Festival, the ninth of its kind, will cover an area double the size of last year's and revive public programs that had been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Illuminations will festoon Haeundae Beach, Haeundae Square (on Gunam-ro Street), Busan Haeundae Traditional Market and the nearby Oncheongil Street in Busan. 

Lights over the festival period will be turned on from 5:30 p.m. to midnight. Haeundae Beach will be lit only until 11 p.m. for safety reasons.
