Hosted by the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center of the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation, the event "Gyeongbokgung (Palace) Saenggwabang" offers a sampling of royal desserts and tea enjoyed by the royal family during Joseon Dynasty. The Joseon Wangjo Sillok (Annals of the Joseon Dynasty) said the saenggwabang was a room where meals specifically for the royals were made during the Joseon era.
Running through June 28, the event features royal refreshments. A chodu (stir-fried red bean) rice cake set is KRW 15,000 and that of juak (glutinous rice flour cake) KRW 12,000, complete with six types of royal herbal tea.
Reservations are required and begin on May 19 from 1 p.m.
