The Haeundae Sand Festival in Busan is slated from May 16-19 at Haeundae Beach and Haeundae Plaza under the theme "Encountering K-Culture through Sand."
Marking its 20th year, the event will offer programs like the opening ceremony, sandboarding, sand observatory and sand sculpture exhibition. Through June 8, about 20 sand artworks by 14 artists from Korea, the U.S., Canada, China and Russia will be on display.
