The Miryang Arirang Festival, a government-designated cultural tourism gala, runs from May 22-25 at Yeongnamnu Pavilion and along the Miryanggang River in Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do Province. Honoring the lyrical folk song "Arirang," a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the event this year has 38 programs including the 2025 Miryang River Odyssey musical "Mourning with a Sword" starring actor Song Il-kook and Sunye, formerly a member of the K-pop group Wonder Girls. Plenty of performances and interactive programs related to "Arirang" will also be offered.
