The 6th ASSITEJ Korea Winter Festival
The 6th ASSITEJ Winter Festival is scheduled to take place from January 9th through January 17th at venues around the Daehak-ro district.

The International Association of Theater for Children and Young People, or ‘ASSITEJ' (initials originate from its French translation), has hosted this theater event for 6 years and running. Since its inception, it has become the largest youth theater festival held in Korea.

Because young people are ASSITEJ's main audience, the festival's content uses imaginative visions to guide their stories. This year's festival will feature 8 works, four of which are the brain children of international theater companies. Their genres vary from remakes of traditional Korean folk tales to Sci-fi puppetry.

The festival's opening piece is entitle ‘Blue Hour' which advocates a pro-environmental message by presenting the current status of Korea's swamps and mud flats. Writing ‘Blue Hour' was a collaborative effort between young artists from Vietnam, Taiwan, and Japan.

Don't miss one of the first festivals of the new decade! Join the 6th ASSITEJ Winter Festival and have great time.
