How about some cool, spicy noodles and red-hot chicken for this summer? Dakgalbi (chicken rib) and makguksu (buckwheat noodle served in cold kimchi broth) are two main menus famous in Chuncheon City of Gangwon-do (Gangwon Province). There will be plenty to sample in the latest festival taking place from Aug. 26 to 31.

The opening ceremony will kick off with percussion road play followed by fireworks in the lake. Traditional folk plays like chicken fight, food competition and various cooking programs will be ready.
