The Busan Sea Festival is held at various beach locations including Haeundae Beach, Gwangalli Beach, Song-do Beach, and Songjeong Beach, and at various places in the city of Busan. It is Korea's largest sea festival, and is a liaison of Busan International Rock Festival, Busan International Beach Dance Festival, Korean Sea Literature Festival, Busan Beach Game Festival and more. About 30 small to large festivals are held during Busan Sea Festival, and visitors can pick and choose those most attractive to their personal interests.

Festival Guide
The Busan Beach Festival offers quality art performances and a variety of water sports programs, and is centered on Busan's most sought out beach, Haeundae! Approximately 12 million vacationers visit this beach every summer. All participating beaches offer windsurfing and beach volleyball tournaments, pin-swimming tournament, and a lot more water sports events. Visitors can also take advantage of free lessons offered in ocean rafting, canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving, banana boat rides, and more.
The Busan International Beach Dance Festival includes participants from Korea, England, Australia, Germany, France, and more, at the stage prepared at Gwangalli Beach. The Busan International Rock Festival also held simultaneously is the world's only free-of-charge beach live music festival, featuring musicians from all over the world every evening during the festival for an audience of approximately 10,000. A variety of music concerts, song festivals and the Beach Game Festival also offer their own kind of excitement.
The opening ceremony of the festival features Korea's celebrities and the Busan Municipal Art Troupe, who come together to hold a large-scale concert along with a brilliant fireworks showcase lighting up the evening sky over Haeundae Beach. During the festival, street dance and hip hop performances can be seen at various locations surrounding Haeundae Beach, along with art exhibitions, and jazz music which makes Dalmaji (Gazing at the Moon) Hill come alive.

Festival Highlights
Haeundae Beach, the main location where Busan Beach Festival will be held, is connected to Dongbaekseom Island, which offers a scenic route for strolling, and is also where the Nurimaru APEC House is located, a nice tourist attraction to visit on the island.
The Nurimaru APEC House served as the conference hall for the 2005 APEC where many leaders around the world participated. This place provided a magnificent view of the ocean. The island offers some peaceful solitude and beautiful sceneries for strolling, which you can get away from the bustle of the festival. It also serves as a nice break amidst all the excitement of the festival.
