According to the old legend, peach is a holy fruit that assures longevity. In Korea, Jeonju was the city famous for abundant production of peaches since 1900.
Once again, Jeonju Peach Festival which marks its 11th year, is out to promote the city's high quality peaches from July 29 to 39 at Jeonju Stadium in Deokjin-gu district, Jeollabuk-do (North Jeolla Province). Over 40 farm holds are to display their best peaches for the coming festival. There will be peach exhibition, peach sampling and peach singing contest.
This is your chance to get sweet, juicy peaches in a reasonable price. Jeonju produces an average of 2,500 ha to 4,000 ha of succulent peaches every year.
