Selected as one of Korea’s best festivals by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hampyeong Butterfly Festival offers visitors a chance to learn about the ecology of Korea.
It is especially popular with kids. They can watch 50,000 butterflies from 70 species flying through in the air. The butterfly exhibition showcases how the butterfly develops from larva, pupa into the imago.
