The 16th Seoul Fringe Festival will go on for 17 days, from August 29 to September 14, showcasing independent artists. A total of 140 individual artists and teams will put on performances in various indoor and outdoor venues including small theaters, live clubs, galleries, and streets near Hongik University and the World Cup Stadium in western Seoul. The festival will offer a Free Participation Program with a total of 106 teams of artists presenting their works, as well as a Special Program.
Individual artists or groups can freely perform drama, dance, mime, music, and arts in the festival, which will allow both the performers and the audiences to enjoy the freedom of expression and selection.
Among the special programs are
Fringe All Night, a festival within a festival near the Seoul World Cup Stadium, and
Guidance of Hope, Song of Hope: Song For Hope Project, a Cultural exchange project co-produced with Filipino artists.
