Gwangju World Music Festival
The fourth Gwangju World Music Festival, an international music event held every summer, will take place on September 6 and 7 at the main, acoustic, party, and open stages around Chonnam National University.
The festival celebrates various genres of music from all over the world such as traditional Korean music, Latin jazz, and African music.
Among the artists are Akale Wube from France; renowned Zimbabwean band Mokoomba; Dutch octet New Cool Collective led by saxophonist Benjamin Herman; Greek-Canadian guitarist group Pavlo, and AkashA from Malaysia. Entrance to all the shows of the festival is free.

Location Chonnam National University area
Transportation from Gwangju U-Square Bus Terminal, take Bus 26, 30, or 64. Get off at Chonnam National University. From Gwangju Station, take a taxi to Chonnam National University.
