Jeju Cherry Blossom Festival
During the upcoming Jeju Cherry Blossom Festival, royal King Cherry trees in full bloom can be enjoyed across Seogwipo’s downtown area and surrounding the nearby Jeju Sports Complex. The petals of Jeju’s famous King Cherry trees are the largest and most luxurious among all cherry blossoms. King Cherry trees are in full bloom for only two or three days per year. The festival will be held much earlier than it has been over the past five years, some two to 12 days ahead of previous festivals.
On the first day, traditional music as well as b-boy dance performances will be held, among other activities, beginning at 6 p.m. On the second day, there will be a singing contest for the public and other performances by master performers specialized in traditional arts.
