An international flower exhibition, the International Horticulture Goyang Korea festival, has attracted over 5.7 million visitors since its launch in 1997. It's now considered to be Korea’s representative international flower show. The festival takes place at the Ilsan Lake Park in Goyang in April and May and features 320 related organizations, groups, and companies from 35 countries showcasing flowers and various products made with flowers. A unique and rare plants exhibition, an indoor garden decorated with flower art pieces, an outdoor theme park, flower arrangement contests and other events and performances are all planned around the upcoming early-summer flower festival.
