The first in East Asia, the Busan International Comedy Festival (BCIF) started as the International Comedy Festival in 2013 and is noted for having developed its own comedy content and for having brought together both Korean comedians and famous international comedians from abroad.

Regardless of sex or age, the comedy festival is open to all, to enjoy and have fun laughing throughout the acts. The audience also gets to be actively involved with the artists during the performances and skits put on here at this globally diverse international comedy festival. In addition, a comedy open mic will also be scheduled to allow all visitors to enjoy comedy of a global quality.
