Mindung Mountain Eulalia Festival
Jeongseon is one of the three host cities for next year's PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and it's now inviting tourists to its annual eulalia festival.

At the end of every September, a vast field of Miscanthus sinensis, four times larger than a soccer pitch, covers Mindungsan Mountain in Jeongseon.

There are four main hiking trails that take between an hour and a half and two and a half hours that bring festival goers to the silver waves of the enormous eulalia field.

People will be able to pound their own rice cake with a mallet, fry up some delicious gamjajeon potato savory pancakes (감자전) and enjoy a sugary honey-eating competition.

From Mindungsan Station to the festival venue takes about 20 minutes on foot, but visitors can also hop on an amusement park train.

See you there!
